When performing duplex copy (using scanner) the printer crashes. Any advice? When checking for updates there is nothing to update.

Hi @Topenar

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Are you able to make a 1-sided copy?

Are you making from a copy from the ADF or Flatbed?

While you respond to that, try these steps -

1) Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent.
3) With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Wait for 60 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.
5) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

Download and install the firmware update from this link

Let me know how that goes.

One side copy works just fine. I am trying the make from the flat bed. My understanding is that ADF is not for duplex copy.

I followed the steps and upgraded firmware. After the upgrade first copy look promising. After first scanned page nothing printed directly and after pushing ok on the dialog (to scan secon page) the printer crashed again with error code jamed paper (there is no jammed paper in the printer). After that each attemp is the same. First page is printed right away and on pushing the ok button the printer crashes 😕

I have sent you a private message with the steps to perform a printer reset. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it. Click here for more details on how to access the private messages on HP Support Community.
