Hi, Our home printer is showing a Engine Communication Error message on the printer screen. After following the help on the printer screen the error is still there. Please advise further on what we can do.

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you get an Engine Communication Error message on your HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276.
This issue could occur if the Formatter of the printer is loose or damaged.
Let's go through a few steps to resolve this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you listed below:
1.Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
2.Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
3.With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
4.Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
5.Wait at least 60 seconds.
6.Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
7.Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
8.Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on. The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
9.Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Hi Rainbow23.
Unfortunately this has not helped at all. It still says the same error. After calling your support centre they have suggested that we take in our printer to their recommended technicians.
Thank you however for your reply
Kind regards Phillipa86

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that the issue has not resolved after following the steps mentioned in the previous interaction. I also see that you called HP Phone Support who told you to contact the recommended technicians.
This could be a hardware issue with the unit.
