Hi @ANG103,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code "Er61" on HP LaserJet Multifunction Printers typically indicates a communication error or a printer hardware issue. Here are steps you can take to resolve this issue.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes to ensure the printer powers down completely.
  • Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.

Check Connectivity:

  • Ensure that all cables (USB, Ethernet) are securely connected.
  • If the printer is connected via a network, ensure it is properly configured and connected to the network.

Restart All Devices:

  • Turn off your computer and other connected devices (if applicable).
  • Restart your router/modem if the printer is networked.

Print a Configuration Page:

  • Access the printer’s control panel and navigate to the "Reports" or "Information" menu.
  • Select to print a Configuration Page to check network and configuration settings.

Update Printer Firmware:

Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions:

  • Open the printer’s access doors and check for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path.
  • Remove any jammed paper carefully.

Reset Network Settings (if applicable):

  • Access the Network Setup menu from the printer’s control panel, and select to restore network settings to default.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
