Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased a new m183fw printer: installed via usb all right ... then I installed the printer with the wireless network, it was identified and all right ....
but when I turned the printer back on, "error 79" appeared, the printer would turn off and then on again without end.
I contacted HP Italian support and they told me to replace the printer for a power problem.
The new m183fw arrives: as first I install it via usb and everything is fine ... then I install the wireless network with another pc and at the next start again "error 79" !!!
The only solution I have found is to disable the wireless network (in the printer) before the printer turns off ... the next time I start the printer it works and I can reactivate the wireless network in the printer and everything works ...
If I turn off the home wifi network and turn on the printer, the wifi icon of the printer flashes and the printer works ... when then I turn on the home wifi network, the error "error 79" appears again
PS ... I updated the firmware ... nothing solved

I repeat all with 3 different pc and different home wifi network ....

Thanks for help

after trying to connect the printer with network cable directly to the router (always error 79), I tried with static ip ... and finally I solved

Now ...why the printer crashed while looking for a free ip?

We have experienced some issue with compatibility with some routers and HP printer. Typically what we see if a failure to get an IP address unless the network settings on the printer are changed from auto-negotiate to simplex 100 communication speed. Likely your 79 error is related to that issue.
