Greetings,
We have printer offshore on a platform. There is no printer support offshore unless i fly out to rig. Printer started recieving error the other day, 59.00.C0 & 59.00.00. In researching the issue i came across this;
Code: 59.00.C0
Display:
59.00.YY Error To continue turn off then on
Description:
Printing error
Developer alienation motor (M6) error
Remedy:
1. Use the developer engagement and disengagement drive test in the component test to verify that
the disengagement mechanisms are properly functioning. If they are not, replace the developer
alienation motor.
2. Use the manual sensor test to verify that the developer disengagement sensor (SR11) is properly
functioning. The sensor is located inside the main drive assembly and cannot be reached for
testing. Disconnect the connector (J112) at the DC controller while in manual sensor test mode to
verify the sensor operation. If it is not operating, replace the main drive assembly.
3. If the product was previously serviced, check the intermediate connector (J87) of the developing
disengagement sensor, the connector (J112) on the DC controller PCA, the connector (J38) of the
developing disengagement motor, and the connector (J261) on the high-voltage power supply PCA.
How does one do the "developer engagement and disengagement drive test"? Is there a part(s) that i could replace without going through this procdure? I am not an HP cerified technician, was hoping there might be video or detailed insturuction on figuring out the exact part(s) that need replacing or a kit?
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Kevin S.

Hi @kstall,
I reckon it is under the component test the ITB one. Usually, this will not work and replacing the M6 alienation motor fixes this error.
I hope that helps,
Cheers!
