I was given instructions that worked but there was a catch - I had to repeat them, which included reinstalling all of my printers, every time I changed printers. I travel around and have 9 printers that I use over the course of a week. Does anyone know of a permanent fix for this problem? This is my personal printer. Thank you, Carol

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Is the copy working fine?

How is the printer connected? (USB or Wireless)

Are you facing this issue while printing a particular document or all the application?

 

Meanwhile, update the printer firmware and Mac software using the below link:

 

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac 

 

Restart the printer and the Mac.
