I need to do a hard factory reset of an HP LaserJet M201w wireless printer.  I changed the IP address in order to try to interface with a Chromebook.  It didn't work.  Now I can't get back into the printer's EWS using the IP address that's shown on the Network  Summary for the printer.  I've tried everything suggested, to no avail.

 

I've seen references to a "super NVRAM" reset, but can't find any specifics.  I need help!

The emergency is over!  I didn't need the NVRAM reset after all.  An outdated instruction (didn't reference Windows 10) worked to gain access to EWS, allowing me to make the necessary change.

Can I get the NVRAM reset instructions please? My printer is totaly not able to connect either via USB or wireless.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
