Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw

Hello

 

My printer (Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw) has a fake paper jam.  I did a thorough check of the printer and there is no paper or any bits of paper jammed anywhere.  I followed the steps on the hp website for paper jam errors yet the paper jam message still appears and I cannot print!  I am very frustrated as it was working fine before this.  I don’t want to buy a new printer or pay a massive service bill when it seems like a simple error. 

 

Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!

If you have performed all the steps from this document and the error persist, Performing a factory reset on the printer may resolve this issue.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Thank you so much for responding to my post!  I greatly appreciate it.  Unfortunately after following your suggestion, the paper jam message still appears and I am unable to print.

Appreciate you trying the steps. This looks like a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
