My printer is all of a sudden telling me there is a paper jam in the rear output area. I followed the instructions to check for a paper jam, but there is no paper to be removed in any area. I went to the support page for my printer and followed all of the instructions to troubleshoot this error and still no luck on solving the problem. What else can I do to fix this problem. I'm a loyal HP printer owner and have never had a printer that quit working or needed repair. HELP.
There appears to be another forum thread called "Cannot get rid of "Jam in output bin. Open rear door and clear jam" error message" that talks about the same problem. I don't see a fix that addresses my problem though.

Most of time it's not false paper jam but it's real to the printer.
When printing the pickup roller should hrab paper to reach a certain aera and touch a sensor then the printer will get into next processing and finish the print job.
What your problem is that the paper didn't get to the certain aera so it jamed.
You can try to clean the pickup roller first to see if it helps if it's not then it should be replaced.

Unplug the power cord from the printer for a few minutes. Open the rear door on the printer and try to find the small paper-in-path plastic sensor arms that may be blocked with debris or stuck. If possible, use a can of compressed air to blow out the paper path to knock loose any debris that may be blocking sensors. Remove the paper tray, remove all cables from back of printer, place printer on it's back and look underneath for any paper or debris that shouldn't be there. Reload the paper tray and make sure the paper guides aren't too tight against the paper. Clean the paper pickup/feed rollers with alcohol. Power On and try again.
