I am receiving false paper jam messages. I have tried all of the on-line fixes. I saw a message that said to make a copy and that fixed it for a week. It seems likely that one of my sensors is dusty and needs cleaning but I don't know how to identify which sensor is causing the message.

Hi Betty,

I tried that link but can't see any way to actually contact HP. Perhaps that is because my printer is out of warranty. The only options were to visit the community or search all support. I did once come across an opportunity to pay $99 for support but that site suggested that they solve more basic problems like connectivity. I would be happy to pay $99 to get this fixed once and for all. Are you able to give me a phone number? I am in California. If you want to send the phone number privately, my email is bill@apsystems-paloalto.com. BTW I worked for HP in Palo Alto from 1972 to 1978. Greatest place in the world to work then. Met both Bill and Dave. My title is student because I can't figure out how to change it. If you are able to, please change it to EE consultant.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi @Cheeseball

Appreciate you trying the steps. This looks like a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Thanks!

Asmita,

I have gone to the support page for my printer but cannot see any information on service options or how to contact HP. Am I missing something?

Hi @Cheeseball

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
