I keep getting the same error message: "Jam in output bin. Open rear door and clear jam." I have repeatedly opened the door, removed an intact sheet of paper that was partly printed, and the same thing happens again. Following an old HP Community solution, I performed a hard reset of the printer and downloaded and installed the latest firmware for my model (Sept. 2018). (I had installed the Mojave OS a few months ago and the printer was working fine until now.) Then I tried to print a test page - and the same error message came up. Is there anything else I can try before junking this printer and getting a new one? I assume the 281fdw is an updated version of this one? Thank you.

this sounds more like a hardware problem.  something is stopping the print from completing its image formation.  could be defective toner/drums that arent rotating properly.

When you said paper that was partly printed is it 1/3 1/4/ or1/5 of the paper?

Where is the leasing edge of paper stop at?

Maybe it's a sensor problem.
