LaserJet Enterprise M604
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Printer displays 33.05.05 Security Alert error.  Tried updating firmware from USB flash drive - printer shows progress bar for transferring file, which appears to go OK, but then at the end of the transfer it fails with "Unknown error".  Any ideas would be most welcome.  Cheers!

Did you format the disk? If not that is the first thing I would do. You could also try a partial clean and see if it boots without the error and then try the upgrade.

Hi @JohnR62,

 

Failing what davidzuts said to you before, try an "Erase Unlock" or "Secure Erase" and then put the new firmware.
