macOS 10.14 Mojave

I have tried to make a firmware update with the driver 'Serie HP LaserJet Pro M102 M104 M106 – Firmware-Update-Dienstprogramm', which I downloaded from the HP website.

After installation  the printer responds with HP Laserjet 3020!!!  As a result the printer isn't addressable anymore.

Neither a reset as described in the manual nor the hints in the posts concerning this severe problem  are useful.

Probably I have do a NVRAM reset, but how is this done?

@drunau, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I can help you with the reset instructions before that let us try to isolate the issue-

  • Where do you see the printer listed as HP Laserjet 3020?
  • What is the error message when you try to print?
  • How is the printer connected to your printer?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

1. The printer is listed as HP LaserJet 3020 in the Printer&Scanner menue

2. No error message because the printer doesn't print. The Resume/Cancel LED is blinking.

3. The printer is via USB connected

I also tried 'HP Smart' but without success.

Hi @Tej1602. I am facing the same issue. Could you please send me the instructions to reset the NVRAM?

The printer switches on but I can't do anything. The Ready LED is blinking all the time.

Thank you
