I have a HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw and have been trying to print on A5 forms. There are small check boxes to tick on the form and the software has been calibrated to print small boxes to tick the checkboxes.

However, when printing sometimes the small boxes are printed within the checkboxes' borders, sometimes they don't. What are the best practises to ensure that the printer always print within the boxes' borders.

- Feeding from the Tray or Manual

- Print Settings?

- Maintenance to carry out?

Printer: Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw

Forms: A5 Paper 90 gsm

Printing: 1 Form at a time

OS: Windows 11

It could be that paper feed rollers are dirty or worn out, and the paper is not fed like it should.  If the printed black box are little under the check boxes it's paper feed issue
