HG282UT (bar code USB) on HP LaserJet Impresor P4015

Hi!

We buy a usb barcode HG282UT to use in a HP LaserJet Impresor P4015. We put the usb on the printer, and then we restart the printer.

The example paper, prints all the barcode correctly.

But when we send to the printer a PCL archive but the printer not recognized the barcode.

We have the same printer with other bardimm usb (hp), and we send the same PCL archive to the printer. The barcode is created with success.

¿What is going on?

What is the model of the other usb bar code usb stick. I find 2 different sticks that are compatible with your printer. The one you have and HG281US. If the other printers stick is a different model perhaps the one you just installed is not capabile of doing what you want.

The other usb bar code stick is P4014/15. The barcode with these stick is generated with success.

But the printer with the HG282UT, print without barcode.

Wish I could help you but it appears the older dimm was made for your or is by another vendor and I can not find any information on it. If you put the old usb dimm in the printer where the HP usb does not work, does it now work the way you want. If it does that would indicate that the older usb drive has software the new one you got from hp does not have. Only suggestion I can give you is to use duplicating software and image the usb drive that works onto a new bare usb drive and see if that solves your issue.

Exactly david, the older dimm was made from Bardimm. Now, Bardimm make sticks for new printers.

The only solution, was the HG282UT but it doesn't working.

Thank's a lot, i will try to duplicate the older dimm.
