printer is brand new and works like a charm except one thing. I have a double sided paper and want to copy it. So my expected output is a double sided paper. No matter which of the two options I use, all I get is a page being printed on only one side. Double side printing on the other hand works as expected. What to do to make the copy function work as expected ?

What I found: The 479dw has a non Duplex paper feeder, so the ‚d‘ in the name only covers the printing aspect but not the scanning. The manual is a generic one for all 4 flavours of the 479, not mentioning the Individual features being supported, at least Not in the area of duplex copies.

One thing that can cause an issue is if you do not have the paper tray set for the correct paper size. For instance if tray 2 is set for any size the device will not duplex copies because it does not know what size paper it is dealing with. Printing will work because the printer takes size information from the print driver. Another issue can be paper type. If paper type is set to a weight that the printer does not support for duplexing then it will refuse to duplex as well.
