Hi @MosesUg,

You can enter the pre-boot menu (press X button when 1/8 appears on display).

From there I suggest you do the following:

1) Administrator -> Format Disk

2) Administrator -> Download -> USB Thumbdrive

3) back to Continue

I hope that helps. Keep me informed.

Cheers!

Dear Alex

what is the reason this error is coming (49 error). Can you elaborate please 🙂

Hi @Murus,

49 Errors are firmware errors. Firmware is a software that resides in a piece of hardware, usually in hard disks nowadays. And as such it may become corrupted. Why it may be corrupted though it could depend to many reasons. It might be a random fault on the disk or a violent abrupt move of the printer while it is working or something else.

Cheers!

Solved my problem too, thanks

Alex,

I have followed these steps but continue to get the same error.  I suspect that the firmware I am loading is either corrupt or incorrect for this model, although it is the only firmware listed in the M750 website.  Any thoughts on what else to try?

I appreciate any help you can provide on this topic.

Hi @CBAutoAT,

A firmware error has occurred.
Recommended action
  1. Turn the printer off, and then on.
  2. If the error persists, update the firmware version to 20140529 or later.
  3. If the error persists, replace the DC controller PCA.
    For instructions: See the Repair Service Manual for this product.
    DC Controller PCA (simplex) part number: CE707-67906
    DC Controller PCA (duplex) part number: CE708-67902

Download the latest FW version 3.9.1 from the below link:

I hope this might help you,

Cheers!
