HP Color Laser Jet CP1515n
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP Color LaserJet CP1515n misaligns the red, yellow and blue colors by a few millimetres in color printing. It prints perfectly in black.

Use following steps from printers menu, calibrate your printer 3 times in a row and see how it affects print quality:

MENU -> SYSTEM SETUP -> PRINT QUALITY -> CALIBRATE COLOUR -> CALIBRATE NOW

Thank you, Vasimov.  I have re-calibrated the printer as you suggested 5 times, but no improvement.   It goes through the re-calibrating sequence for 2 or 3 minutes but will not then print a test page.  Each time I printed a color document to see whether there was any improvement, but colors were still misaligned.

Do a Restore Default in the Service Menu and see what's happened If it's necessary  do  one or two times calibrate again.

Thank you.  I've now tried your suggestion four times, but no improvement.  It should be a fairly simple thing to correct - if you know how.....

Any more suggestions?

Remove toners from the printer, turn the printer off, cold reset your printer, install toners when prompted.

To cold reset your printer google CP1515 cold reset

You can perform an NVRAM initialization.

1.Turn 1515 off

2.Press Right arrow & Cancel button simultaneously keep pressing while turn power on.

3.When you see  "Permanent storage init " message appears release both buttons.

When 1515 comes to Ready then try again.

If not work do one or two more times of  calibration.

If still not work you may have to replace one or two color of cartridge.

When  cartridge is bad you won't get a good outcomes by means of  calibrating.cold reset,NVRAM......... , you have to replace them.

But in my experience you don't need to throw it/them away you can put it/them back again and it/them will be accecpted one day.

Print the diagnose page and take a look at four coner's of four colors you will find out which color is the bad one.

Maybe it's the black one!
