I manage an entire fleet (6,800) of devices at my organization. We currently are using models HP M577z, HP M682z and HP M880z (enterprise) printers for the fleet. Is there a way to push settings through WebJet admin or another solution where color devices default to printing in grayscale/monochrome? I am in desperate need of a solution as I am unable to touch all the computers here. There are over 25,000 employees within my organnization.

Thank you - Amy

If you use HP Printer Administrator Resource Kit (PARK) you can create a custom driver kit that is defaulted to monochrome and then use AD to force that driver out to users. Or you could look at HP Access Control Enterprise which would allow full control over who prints color, when they print color and even force jobs to monochrome printers.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by marking my post as an accepted solution. Clicking "yes" on "was this reply helpful" also increases the chances that this solution will help others.

Thank you so much. Do you know if the PARK or Access Control Enterprise are paid additions?
