HP Color LaserJet Pro 4302 printer
macOS 26.0 Tahoe

Dear support team,

I am experiencing an issue with my new HP Color LaserJet Pro 4302 printer. Each time I send a print job the printer automatically prints an additional report page afterward.

This is wasting paper and toner and is disrupting my work. Please advise how I can disable this report both from the printer control panel and through the printer’s web interface using its IP address.

Please treat this as an urgent request.

Hi @SAMOKAMO

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

To stop your HP printer from printing a status page after every job, you’ll need to adjust the print settings either through the HP App or the Embedded Web Server (EWS). This behavior is often linked to diagnostic or Web Services settings that persist after setup.

Disable Print Status Notifications via HP App

  • Open the HP App on your computer or mobile device.
  • Select your printer > Printer Settings.
  • Navigate to Preferences or Advanced Settings.
  • Look for options like:
  • Print Status Reports
  • Print Notifications
  • Job Log or Summary Page
  • Turn these settings Off and save changes.

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

  • If the HP App doesn’t show the option:
  • Find your printer’s IP address from the control panel or HP App.
  • Enter the IP into a browser to open the Embedded Web Server.
  • Go to Settings > Preferences > Reports or Notifications.
  • Disable any options related to:
  • Print Job Status Page
  • Web Services Summary
  • Instant Ink or HP+ Reports

Remove Web Services (If Not Needed)

If you’re not using Instant Ink or HP+:

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Web Services > Remove Web Services.
  • Confirm removal and restart the printer.

Check Printer Driver Settings

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer > Printing Preferences.
  • Look for any checkbox labeled:
    • Print Status Notification
    • Print Job Report
    • Diagnostic Page
  • Uncheck and apply changes.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I have already provided the printer model and confirmed that I am using macOS.

I logged into the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) via my browser, and all options under the Reports section appear unselected.

In your previous response, you referred to the Control Panel in Windows, even though I clearly stated I am on macOS. Please could you tailor your instructions to my actual operating system?

I would appreciate a specific, step‑by‑step solution rather than a list of general suggestions.

Finally, could you explain how removing the Remote Web Service relates to the job report issue I’m currently experiencing? I don’t see the connection and would like it clarified before I proceed.

Hi @SAMOKAMO,

Thanks for your response, Since you are using macOS Tahoe and have already confirmed that all report options in the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) are unchecked.

Based on your description, it sounds like the printer is printing a Job/Usage Report or Configuration Page after every print job. Since you have already checked the Reports section in the EWS and found no related options enabled, kindly follow these steps and confirm :

Step 1: Could you confirm what the extra page contains?

  • Does it show printer information, IP address, supplies status, or configuration details?
  • Or does it contain information about the print job itself?

This will help determine exactly which feature is generating the page.

Step 2: Disable Job Separator Pages in EWS

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Enter the printer's IP address.
  3. Sign in as Administrator if prompted.
  4. Navigate to: Settings > System Settings > Job Management (location may vary slightly by firmware version).
  5. Look for:
    • Separator Page
    • Job Separator
    • Banner Page
    • Job Sheet
  6. If enabled, set it to Off and save the changes.

Step 3: Check macOS Printer Queue Settings

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Select Printers & Scanners.
  3. Select the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4302.
  4. Click Options & Supplies.
  5. Review any installed options and ensure no "Banner Page" or "Separator Page" settings are enabled.
  6. Remove and re-add the printer if these settings are not visible..

Regarding Web Services, removing Web Services is generally not related to a printer automatically printing a page after every job, unless the printed page specifically references HP+ or Web Services. Therefore, I would not recommend disabling Web Services unless we confirm the extra page is being generated by that feature.
