HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M176
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have tried over several computers running Windows 10 home 64 bit or Windows 10 Pro 64bit to get the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M176n to print. It bahaves in a temperamental way. Sometimes it only prints the top of the page while the rest of the sheet is blank [white] or sometimes it just rolls out a completely blank [white] page. In order to get printing done, i have to first save the document as a PDF and then set that PDF document to print as an image. If i dont do that, i cannot get any printing done. That is not good. I have contacted Microsoft and after several days of remote access to one of the computers, they could not give an answer about what causes this problem or how to solve the problem. I have formatted the computers and done a clean installation several times, but still the problem persists. I can only assume that the driver is not compatible with Windows 10 - 64bit or perhaps even the 32bit version of Windows 10 as well.

Hello, @bodueko - Greetings!

Thanks for engaging in the HP Forums! I see by your post that you are experiencing issues with new HP LaserJet printer. I will certainly do my best to help you 🙂

I understand you have already tried system recovery and tried with multiple PCs. To assist you with this issue, let’s try making a copy first. This will help us isolate the issue to hardware or software part.

Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Let me know if it makes a good copy or not.

If the copy comes out fine, then the issue is with the printer software. Since you have tried all the reinstall steps, I would suggest you use alternate printer drivers. Try installing the Windows built-in driver and check. Go to http://hp.care/2nxKJv8 and follow the steps under “Step 3”.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂

Yes a photocopy comes out well. So as you have pointed out, it must be the printer software issue. I will now try to use the built-in windows driver from Microsoft.

Thank you.

Hi @bodueko,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the copy from the printer works fine but it does not print from the computer.

It looks like you were interacting with @Dvortex, but he is out of the office today so I'll take over from here.

This issue could occur if there is a software conflict.

Please follow the link to install the basic drivers from the link: PCLm Print Driver

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.
