Hello @Zsolt546 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Right now, HP’s official driver page for the PageWide XL 5000 does not list macOS 15 (Sequoia) drivers — which often means HP hasn’t yet published a compatible driver for that OS version*. If you try to select macOS on the HP support page and it doesn’t show your OS, that’s why.

macOS Built-in Printing

macOS can print using AirPrint or generic network printing protocols without needing a specific HP driver:

📍 How to add your printer (if supported)

System Settings → Printers & Scanners

Click Add Printer, Scanner or Fax

Find your PageWide XL on the network

Make sure the “Use:” option is set to AirPrint or a generic driver

→ Sometimes this prints basic jobs even without an HP driver

Try AirPrint or generic IP printing — often works for basic jobs.

Tools like HP Easy Start might help detect and install what’s available.

If nothing else works, you may need an updated driver from HP or a network printing workaround.

Hope his helps.

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
