Recently my printer started putting black marks on the right side of the page. Sometimes the marks are darker than other times, and sometimes they are real light. I have tried replacing the black cartridge with a new one. I have tried looking at the current black cartridge to see if there was anything on it, nothing. I have tried the Cleaning Page a few times, which seemed to make it worse. Help!! I can't figure out how to upload pictures.

Based on the model it is quite possibly the fuser that is the problem. Can you post a sample? If the marks are repetitive and evenly spaced then most likely it is the fuser. A mark in the same place but randomly placed down the page is usually caused by a faulty transfer belt.

Here are some examples of what it is doing. Thanks!

99% sure that will be fuser. The ghosting is what gives it away. That is the fuser not getting hot enough and it picks up some toner and redeposits it on the paper on the next rotation.

Ok. Is that something that can be replaced? Is it worth replacing or just getting a new printer? Thanks for your help!

I have a similar problem based on the description  - using an M477.  See the attached image my printer is putting out as of just today.0001.jpg
