HP Direct Wifi Printing Not Showing Up

I have a printer that will not allow me to print using Direct Wifi from a Android tablet. Worked with HP support for 3 hours and we could not get this to work. It only displays DIRECT-06-HP M203 LaserJet if we have a USB cable connected or if the printer is plugged into the network with a ethernet cable. Did factory resets. Watch HP download and install the complete software suite and manually setup the Direct Wifi to Automatic. We want to use this printer on the road where only a Android Tablet and the Printer will be available. No Network, No PC, Just a tablet and a Printer (and power). I thought I would post on here what fixed it since I didn't see anyone else having this exact type of issue while searching around all afternoon. The only thing that would show up is HPSetup for the wifi connection when it did not have a USB cable attached to a PC or a network cable plugged in.

What fixed this was turning off Wifi. Once we manually turned off wifi on the printer leaving only Direct Wifi on, then it would consistantly show up able to print from a tablet.

Go to the web gui of the printer, then to Networking

Then down to Wireless Configuration

Status = Off

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Apply.

FYI Thought I would post this so others know. I believe this was caused by someone Spinning the HP install CD and not finishing the setup. And I believe that is what left it in this limbo state. I was also told from HP support that the direct Wifi does not show up until 30 days after the purchase. Wrong.
