I'm trying to connect a 5530 e-all-in-one series printer to my wireless router that is provided by CenturyLink. When using the set up wizzard my SSID isn't found but others (neighbors) are. My cell phone and other devices are currently connected to my network. I've chatted with CenturyLink but they recommend I ask with my printer manufacturer why this device isn't being seen. Any suggestions as to how to correct this would be appreicated. I've turned the router and printer off and on a number of times without any luck. When I asked if the router could be blocked the CenturyLink agent told me no. Thanks

I was able to resovle my issue by pressing the WPS button on the router/moden. When I did this, the printer was able to recongize the router. Thanks for your suggestions.

Hello JR, would you please provide some added info. Are you in a dorm, but have your own router? Are you trying to setup the printer to operate with cell phone; or instead, what device (computer, cell phone,) and model and OS of that device, which you are trying to pair with the printer? We need to download the printer's software onto that device. So with the computer and printer turned on, go to 123.HP.com. That site will ID your computer and the printer's software will automatically download/install. It should then work. Please advise either way. There's some other ideas. Good luck.

Hi JR,
Sounds like the printer is close enough to the router to to be able to detect it if it's finding your neighbor's routers. One thing you can consider is that most HP printers work on a 2.5 GHZ router band. If your router is set on the 5 GHZ band, the printer might not detect it. Check if your router is a 'dual band' type and see if you can set it to broadcast both so that the printer can connect to the 2.5 band.
I work on behalf of HP, but my opinions are my own.
