Hello, 

I am trying to print from our HP Envy 5660. I am using the correct cartridge as indicated on the printer (HP 62). However, when I print the magenta and yellow colors are switched. What can I do to correct this issue? 

 

I have tried to contact HP for support help multiple times but I have been unable to get through to anyone since our warranty is expired. The printer is only 3 years old.

A couple of things you can try:

1) Remove the cartridges and clean the contacts on both the cartridge and the carriage where it sits. 

2) Do a power reset of the printer. With the printer powered ON, disconnect the power cable from the wall or printer, wait 60 seconds, plug the printer power back in and power up the printer.

 

If you still have an issue, it may be you have a bad cartridge. Is it an HP or after-market cartridge?

If you look on the bottom of the cartridge, are the colors on the bottom in the correct order? If not, the cartridge is made wrong. Replace it.
