Laserjet Pro 200
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP laserjet proo 200 color mfp keeps saying the rear door is open.

I have tried the following.

1. Disconnecting it from the power and powering it on again

2. Applying pressure on the rear door

3. Using a flat head screw driver to trigger the sensor by pushing it into the left hand side on the rear of the printer where I believe the sensor is located.

4. when I try updating the firmware it takes me back to the rear door open error message instead of downloading and running the update.

I do not know what to do anymore

Hello,

Check whether the Interlock Switch is closed or not:

  1. If nothing at all is damaged, ensure that the 2nd transfer roller (rubbery roller) on the back entrance remains in place.
  2. After the above step, check on the door, there must be a pin kind notch that will press right into an opening in the body of the printer. It will trigger the micro switch for the doorway. Scrutinize the port on the right-hand side on the edge of the closing door.
  3. Just check that interlock micro switch that will confirm the device that the door is shut.

If the concern persists, I sent you a private message and retry to update firmware the printer.
