Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

after a firmware update on my M506 I get the following error "Error 99.39.67 emmc not bootable "  I tried to reinstall the firmware but under the admin/download options it doesn't see the usb drive connected to the printer.IMG_0068.JPGIMG_0069.JPG

Instructions provided by Alex are excellent.  I will add 2 notes:

1- we have found some keys simply are not compatible, so if one does not work try a different one.

2- the emmc May be dead and require replacement.

Hi Bilcare1389,

1) Turn off the printer and unplug it from power

2) Remove the formatter cover and reseat the eMMC little board

3) Format a USB thumbdrive in FAT32 format. Download the correct and latest version of firmware from HP official page on the root directory of the USB thumbdrive

4) Turn on the printer and press any key when you see this error to go in the pre-boot menu

5) Go to Administrator -> Manage Disk -> Boot Device -> Erase/Unlock

6) Insert your USB thumbdrive with firmware into the easy access usb port of the printer

6) Go back to Administrator -> Download -> USB Thumbdrive -> select the firmware file and press OK

7) After the installation finishes successfully go back and select Continue

😎 Let the printer boot, it may take several minutes

I hope this may help,

Cheers!
