PCL XL error

     Subsystem:     Image

     Error:                  ExtraData

     Operator:         ReadImage

     Position:           101

The first time I was using Adobe and it printed this error page and the position was 21. The second time I tried printing from FoxIt and this was the error I got, however, it did print the first page. It was a six page document. I can print it on any other printer in the office, including other 4301's. This printer is connected via USB, all others are networked, whether wired or wireless. I've updated printer drivers and firmware. I've installed the latest versions of FoxIt and Adobe.

We would like to keep this printer secluded from the network because he prints confidential documents. It is in his office and most people do not have access to it. We don't want his print jobs going to other printers.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jessica

The lowest friction way around this error is to use the HP Universal Printer Driver post script version.

We've tried the Universal PS driver. I was wondering if it could be the USB cable. The user thinks it is the file itself but it can be printed on other printers. Those other printers are all networked, though. His is the only one using USB. If one printer can print it, I would think all others should be able to, also.

Thanks,

Jessica
