HP LaserJet M551 49.4a.04 error

Hi all,

I got the "49.4a.04" error from my LaserJet M551. It asked me to turn off and then turn on. But after that, the same error came again. If I unplug the network, it works and no error comes out. I need to use the network to connect the printer. I cleaned all the jobs, and restarted my computer. But the error still comes out when I use the network to print. Can anybody help me out please?

I've found that in order to resolve a M551 with various 49 errors is that  you remove the back cover and reseat the connections on the inner connect board to the dc controller and the problem is resolved.  And always update the firmware using the preboot menu before doing this to see if that resolves it.

Hi

Had issue with this on mpf 500 

Simply remove networkcable, start printer up whithout it.

Waited a few minits, checked that menues and printing status worked.

Then connected networkcable without shuting printer down.

after few seconds, som old works came out.

Now it works as intended.

Solved my problems 🙂
