I have had a HP LaserJet MFP M281CDW for a while now that has worked fine. Recently, it started having issues printing. First (and still) that sometimes when printing duplex, it will just decide not to print the back page and end the print early.
But the biggest and consistent issue now, is that you reboot the printer, print a single document and it prints fine. If you attempt to then print a second document, the print queue shows it being there, connecting to printer, printing, and then completing. On the printer itself, you see it start to receive the document, say 'printing', and then it doesn't print, just goes back to the main screen.
If you turn the printer off, and back on. It will allow you to once again, print one document, and then fails to print anything else. The length of the document doesn't matter, just one job.
We are printing from both MacOS and ChromeOS, seeing the same issues.
We have updated the printer firmware, and all drivers have been updated on Mac & Chrome
I have ensured that my wifi system has the latest updates, and have tried restarting that as well.
Please advise.

Not that anyone has responded, but just going to add some updates here.
Turns out, that this isn't a driver issue, but appears to be a hardware / internal software error. The error only happens when trying to print documents. If you open and print a pure image, it prints fine.
Also, this error happens even when printing direct from a USB key. So isn't a driver issue at all.
I found that I was able to turn on Postscript Errors in the printer admin, and now when it fails to print, I do in fact get an error message printed out, which says:
POSTSCRIPT Warning
Subsystem: PARSER
Warning: InternalError 00
File Name: PDFSender_Interp.c
Line Number: 1789
Error Information:
Reported by PDL
undefinedfilename
So something is wrong with the printer / printer software.
(Unfortunately, I'm in the midst of a chat with HP Tech Support, where they keep telling me to check my driver version. And telling me that if my printer can make a copy, that it's fine and it's my computer's problem.
