Hello, no one at work can recall what the admin password for the printer is. This obviously locks us out from updates, setting changes etc. I have read through many posts but it seems most replies have been sent privately. I would appreciate any help! Thank you!

You need to perform a partial clean from the preboot menu. This will clear all scan to folder and other settings so be sure to backup settings before starting. When completed restore the settings, however authentication settings for scan to folder locations will need to be input again. Instructional videos on getting into preboot mode are easily found on YouTube.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by marking my post as an accepted solution. Clicking "yes" on "was this reply helpful" also increases the chances that this solution will help others.

Problem solved! It is crucial that you back your settings up if you don't want to start the entire setup all over again! You need to be very quick at touching the HP logo upon startup in order to enter the setup mode, I had to restart the printer twice to get it just right. Thank you Repairatrooper!
