I have the same problem with this post :

I'm having troubles installing drivers for HP LaserJet P1006 on mynew desktop.

When I download and start installing the recommended basic driver for my PC, the installation status goes to the "Preinstalling the driver files ..." stage, then it switches briefly to "Copying files to the hard drive" and back to "Preinstalling the driver files" a few times, and then the installator just quits with no error message.

 

If possible, i would like to provide the HPLJP1000_P1500_Series.log file for you to check with the problems. Much appreciate for your help.

Hi @kevin910162,

Please clarify your operating system language, as well as the exact filename used to install the printer.

 

This is likely due to using an installation source not intended for your PC's language, providing above information first should likely help getting the problem resolved.

My operating system is Windows 10 professional 64 bit with language : Traditional Chinese

The filename I used for installation is ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win64-en.exe downloaded from the HP  Official Website

 

My Issue is exactly the same with this post

The results remain the same.

Still no error message and fail the installation. 

I found out that it create a loop directory in the Program Files Folders.

For example :  Program Files/HP/HP LaserJet P1000_P1500 Series/HP/HP LaserJet P1000_P1500 Series/HP...............

Maybe it will help
