HP LaserJet Pro M1136 Multifunction Printer
Android 5.0 - 5.1.1 Lollipop

Hi Team,

I am not able to connect HP LaserJet Pro M1136 MFP (Serial # [edited]) from my android device Redmi 2 (it has OTG support).

I have downloaded the HP Print Service Plugin app and enabled printing option still not able to connect.

Need correct steps to connect and print

Thanks,

Parandhama

Hi Robot,

I am happy you provided me solution and I am accepted.  Thank you very much.

I understood "HP LaserJet Pro M1136 Multifunction Printer" is one of the HP printers that do not support printing from a USB OTG cable.

Just wanted to check in near future will this printer comes under supported list or not all in future.

Thanks,

Paru

@Paru1,

I read the response. Thanks for the update. It may not work that and get the OTG support. I am being candid that way.

As @A4Apollo is out for the day I am responding on his behalf.

Take care and have a blessed day.

Hi David,

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

My android Redmi 2 compatibles with OTG.

Thanks,

Paru

@Paru1, Thanks for your response again.

As I mentioned earlier the printer does not support printing via an OTG connection.

Even if you have a compatible OTG smartphone the printer still would not function as it does support printing via OTG.

And you have to upgrade your printer to a new one if you like to use print VIA OTG.

Hope this answers your query again!

Take Care! 🙂
