HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction
Unknown

New out of the box. Print one page OK. print more than one it seems to be picking up paper faster than it can print. 1st sheet is correct but 2nd sheet hot on it's heels is blank and 3rd sheet causes paper jam. Additionally, when making a photocopy, the copy comes out fine on left third of the page and black on the rest. It also causes the blank page/paper jam if you make multiple copies of a page. Problem exists with both windows 7 and linux.

It's a hardware issue not software, so it has nothing to with your Windows system.

It's so called "sticky solenoid" problem so deal with the solenoid and problem solved.

Hers're some videos on Youtube same problem as your HP M1536.

The solenoid seats at bottom right side when look from right side cover. (There's another one which controls duplexing printing, it seats at left top side corner, Both of them hide under right cover you'd better take care of them at the time.)

Take right side cove off -> one screw on the back, and you can see the solenoids

There's no need to take it off you just put a piece of paper folded into V-shape and put it into the gap of two metals.

No more jam anymore.

Hope it helps.

Bingo! Right on the money, only a two minute repair. If I wasn't so old I'd name my next child after you. Now if I can just find why the scanner turns 2/3rd of the page black. Printing from computer is good, only the scanned are bad.
