Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

I understand that you have an HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf Multifunction Printer and it displays a false paper jam error I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job. I'll be glad to assist you with this case.

During my research, I found that the following firmware updates are available for your HP printer: (Source: http://hp.care/2qLlrqc)

  1. HP LaserJet Firmware Update Utility.
  2. HP LaserJet Series printers Formatter Firmware RFU download files.
  3. Web Jetadmin Firmware.

Please ensure that the first firmware update was attempted. Once the firmware is installed, the printer needs to be restarted.

In case the problem persists then let us reset the printer. Resetting the printer will restore the printer to its original factory condition. A private message has been sent to you with the reset instructions.

I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Let me know the outcome.

Good luck! 🙂
