I’m looking at replacing my laserjet 1020 and I’m looking the the newer printers such as the M118dw, but that and a couple of others are listing a Toner cartridge and an imaging drum, am I going to have to replace both here and there, or am I just going to have to replace the tonor cartridge like my current 1020?
thanks

Hi,
For the M118dw printer, it has a separate Imaging Drum and you only replacing an Imaging Drum when its yield ends and the printer guide to replace the drum.
Generally, a standard toner cartridge for your printer offer a yield of approx. 1200 pages.
A High Yield X cartridge is an alternative that offers approx. 2800 pages yield, whenever a cartridge is empty it should be replaced.
The Drum is effective for much higher page yield, for approx. 23,000 pages and only when it is low the printer guide to replace an imaging drum.
Regards,
Shlomi
