  1. Access Printer Settings on Chromebooks:
  2. Open the Chrome browser on your Chromebook.
  3. Click on the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner of the browser and select "Settings."
  4. Under "Advanced," look for the "Printing" section and click on "Printers."

  5. Check Printer Configuration:

  6. Ensure that your HP M480f LaserJet printer is listed. If it's not, add it by clicking "Add Printer."
  7. Select your printer from the list and click on "Manage."

  8. Set Color Printing Preferences:

  9. In the printer settings, look for the "Printing Preferences" or similar option.
  10. Ensure that the color mode is set to "Color." If it's set to "Monochrome" or "Black & White," change it to "Color."

  11. Test Your Printer:

  12. Try printing a test page or document to see if it outputs in color.
  13. For documents with specific print settings, also ensure those documents have color printing options enabled before printing.

  14. Reinstall Printer:

  15. If the issue persists, consider removing the printer from your Chromebook and reinstalling it. To do this, go back to the "Printers" section in the settings, click on the printer and select "Remove." Then, re-add the printer as described in step 2.

  16. Update Firmware:

  17. Lastly, ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You may need to check the printer's manual or HP's support site for instructions on updating the firmware.
