HP M506dn vs HP M608n monochrome laser printer to choose? have an offer from HP livechat to order M608n with additional 2 drawers to replace my old HP 4250. the reviews are so-so. There is older model HP M506dn on Amazon.

Hi Gderth,
The M608n model is superior on all aspects except for it does not have a duplexer, so it cannot automatically print on both sides of the paper. If it was a M608dn it could do that also. It is meant for bigger print jobs, more users, etc etc.

there is concerns about different design in the new version with drawers loading option is on the back of the printer, thus the location close to the wall is not possible. some posted the negative thoughts about it on Amaznon and declaring it was the reason for the jamming . how was your expirience on it, please?

I have experience on both models as a printer engineer, not as a user. The fact that the paper path for M608's runs through the rear of the printer instead of the front on most other models does not mean more frequent jams. Jams can be caused for lots of different reasons, but this is not one of them. I have seen the interior design of a M607-608-609 and I liked it. It's simple. And they are fast. Easy to toubleshoot them, maintain them and service them if needed.
