HP M806x

We had thunderstorms and power outages.  Now printer won't boot, or boots and prints two pages only.

Printer has motherboard with onboard NIC. (flashing yellow)

Formatter LED is blinking green, (:-) LED is solid green.

On boot, it usually gets stuck on 7/8 or moves on to "initializing XXXX" for hours (as high as 6000+ in 3 1/2 hours).

Any thoughts on what to try?  (We re-seated RAM and motherboard twice, discharged residual elec - by unplugging and pushing power button; left unplugged overnight)

Your best first option is to enter the preboot menu and then run the diagnostics which will verify memory, harddrive, dc controller and formatter. If your 806 has a touch screen, reboot and when a black line appears under the HP logo, touch the logo. If you have a keypad and not a touch screen press the cancel key as you boot up.

I have entered pre-boot mode on touch screen, thank you.  Now I'm waiting on the printer to react - it is  s-l-o-w..

We are off tomorrow, so I will let it load over weekend.  See what I have Monday.  Thanks again.
