HP LaserJet P2015 Printer series
macOS 10.12 Sierra

Hi all,

I have an HP LaserJet P2015d printer, which should be able to print on both sides. However, I found it stuck every time after it finished printing on one side. Specifically, it happens when the printer tries to take the paper back. I opened Straight-through output door, located on the back of the printer, and found that one of the rollers is missing. (It should be a white plastic roller with wire on top.) I tried very hard to search that part in Google but without the name of the part, it's hard to find what I wanted. Can anyone kindly tell me what the part is and where I can get it?

Thank you very much!

For HP Parts I start at:

http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

Pick your Country from the Drop Down List and then search for: CB367A (that is a P2015d).

I think you will probably have to get the Rear Cover Assembly, RM1-4270-000CN

HP often does not sell small parts that are attached to a larger assembly.

On eBay search for P2015 Rear Cover, today someone has a partial assembly with rollers for $9.95 with free shipping. (that is NOT me, although I do sell on eBay)

Hi,

Thank you so much for your reply! I really appreciate all the details you've provided! I placed the order just now. I just have one more question. How can I remove the rear cover? Thank you!

HP does not put the service manuals for printers on their website, but you can find manuals for many of them by doing a quick online search.

If you have the entire rear cover assembly on order then the manual should give you instructions on how to replace that, but if you just have the fold down door part there will probably be no specific instructions.

Depending on which part I had available I would consider just moving the roller over from the new part to the old part.

Ah, that's right! I should have thought about replacing the roller only. Thank you for your suggestions again! I really appreciate it!
