Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We purchased approximately 10 P2035 printers and now 3 of them are totally inoperable due to a sudden problem with the 'USB device not being recognized' any longer in Windows pop-up.

This is definitely a problem with the printer, since the affected printers produce the same message, regardless of the workstation is gets connected to.

All 3 were part of the 10 that were working fine, but now it appears one by one are going to be worthless.

I searched HP support for known issues with the printer, but did not come up with anything.

Online searches produced nothing.

I tried all suggestions when searching for 'USB device not recognized', but that did not resolve anything.

Anyone have experience with this printer model or can offer advice?

Thanks.

We have had a few over the years where the usb port has broken and the only way to repair was to replace the formatter. They are not that expensive on ebay.

Hello, we are experinceing the same issue here, no solution so far but it seems to be related with new chip installed on toners, it happened when we replaced the toner, it is something very weird, as i told so far no solution, thanks.

I agree.  It is not the usb port.  It is the toner cartridge.  I have to keep trying a different cartridge until one works.  Has anyone contacted HP support regarding this issue?  I am trying to contact them but this is not a warranty item.
