2900nw printer server

I have installed this print server and all works. I have connected the Lan ethernet to our production network and the WIFI for the wireless printing. My concern is security. Since the WIFI is on on quest network I wanted to make sure I did not put myself at risk on the Production network. Thanks

The Networks do not commect through the printer... but, Keeping the Printer and JetDirect Firmware up to date would be highly recommended.

Organizations have been hacked through printers... (more than once).

I do not know  what model Printer you installed the 2900w in, (and it does not need to be posted).

I would say that Hypothetically if your printed was hacked through the wireless connection, then the printer might reach out through the wired network to an I/P you do not want it talking to.

Keeping the FW up to date is one way of minimizing this risk.
