I want to check the colour truth of the printer output, the  alignment etc.

Is there a standard HP colour chart that can be prnited out and compared with a standard?

Thank you

To correctly and most accurately test your color output you would have to buy a pattern test chart, which we get through Katun (I'm sure other places have these as well). Even if you were to print out a color test chart on another device to compare to the HP, there's no saying the other device is accurate either, therefor it wouldn't be a very conclusive test. So typically your best bet is to purchase a test chart from a vendor if color is that crucial.  Either way with this machine calibrating the machine is probably as close to HP specs of the machine as you'll get.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Just to clarify.

I cannot find the Pattern Test card on the Katun site.  Can you provide the part no?

Presumably, I have to download a matching printer file, print it out, then compare with the supplied test card. I cannot see a printer file download on their site either.

Unfortunately, I do not have a colorimeter to quantify the colour difference between the two charts. I have a colour calibrated Epson scanner, 16-bit, so I could scan both charts and compare the colour data from the two charts.

Do you know of a colour tweeking programme to calibrate the CP1520?
