HP laserjet pro M148F
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have this laser jet pro installed on my network which is shared with two computers.  Both running windows 7 pro.  One is 32 bit the other is 64 bit.  The 32 bit machine has no problem printing.  the 64 bit one always needs to be restarted for the document to print.  When i go to print, it looks like it goes through, but nothing prints.  Then upon restarting, the printer prints the document.  Can someone please help to solve this issue?

This is a relatively new printer and I really did not have these issues with this frequency with my old Laserjet printer.

Your problem is most likely connected to the default method that Windows 10 uses to configure printers. Go to control panel>devices and printers and righth click on the icon for your printer and then select the printer properties. Click on the port tab and see what type of port is being used for the driver. In most cases it will be a WSD port which are notorious for falling off. What you want to do is setup a TCP/IP port using the IP adress of the printer and then tell the driver to use that port.

When i go into properties i dont see the port tab.  Maybe becuse the operating system is Windows 7 pro and not Windows 10?

Do you have any other ideas?
