Can someone point me to help for printing layout. I've tried unsuccessfully. It seems simple. I have designed my daughter's wedding program (high level stress here) and saved as JPG. In the end, I want a half-page program, printed back and front. So, I'm thinking two per page, one JPG on the front and one JPG on the back. I cannot seem to get it. Where can I get help with this seemingly simple issue?

This would indeed be simpler if the printer supported automatic duplex (manual duplex appears to be supported) and if it were clear whether the printer supports Creating Custom Paper Sizes .
The printer does appear to support various Media types (kind of paper) that includes cardstock and other types that are "heavier" paper, including Brochure.
So.. it may -- or may not -- be simple to accomplish; the project should at least be "doable" without causing all your hair fall out. Smiling.

Printing Preferences
Some printers support a Printing Preferences paper size called "Statement" that is the equivalent to a "half sheet" of 8.5x11 inch paper.

Section: Custom Paper Sizes
Hints:
- Start with a standard paper size form of the same type of paper you intend to use with the custom size form. That means, for example, if your custom form is for a heavier paper, look for a "standard size" form in the list that is the same kind (brochure, card, etc).
- After the Custom Paper Size form is created > Restart the computer and log in
- The "combination" of Media, Size, Source (tray - do not leave tray assigned as "any" or "auto") must be compatible. If you choose a combination that the printer dislikes, you will see a tiny yellow triangle next to the "disliked" entry / selection.
Word Document
Manually create a Word document; set the Layout (Paper Size, Orientation, and Margins) for the document, and Insert Text and / or Image files as necessary.
Print the document: File > Print > Print Preview settings AND check / verify / adjust settings in "Properties"
The "flip" side of the document (long or short side) depends on your personal preference.
Refer to HP Printers - Printing on Both Sides of the Paper (Windows) (Duplexing)
Step #4
I strongly suggest you test this using plain paper to make sure the results are those you expect.
Avery Print and Design
Although the manual duplex might be a bit weird (again, test with plain paper), this next option is worth a look. If it works for your situation, Avery Design Software provides an easy method to create a card printed front and back that includes both any text you desire and images of your choosing. I have used this method with excellent results.
Templates and Card Size:
Creating a "Half-fold greeting card" (made from a single full size sheet of Brochure or other paper) is likely easier than finding a "1/2" size template that supports both front and back printing. The "Half fold" card is created on the flat sheet, decorated on any / all sides, printed, and then manually folded in half. The final project fits into envelopes 6X9 inches for which you can make fancy labels that match your design on the cards.
You can also use Word to create a custom size template and use Word to create the final product / project.
