How do I change the default paper tray from tray 1 to tray 2?  And is there a way to turn off the beep when the printer prints?

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

We can change the source settings to Tray 2 from the print dialogue box. Here is how to do it:

1.) Open a document, click File, and then click Print to open the print dialog.

2.) If a Show Details button displays at the bottom of the dialog, click it to reveal all available menu options. The button changes to Hide Details when clicked.

3.) Click the Un-named menu and select Paper/Quality.

4.) Click Source and select Tray 2.

Enabling Quite mode on the printer may disable the beeps. You may use the steps below to enable Quite mode:

1.) On the printer’s control panel, scroll the screen, and then touch the Setup icon ().

2.) On the Setup Menu, touch System Setup.

3.) Scroll down the menu list, and then touch Quiet Print Mode.

4.) In the Quiet Print Mode setting, touch “On” to enable the setting.

Let me know how it goes!
