My printer is giving me an error message that the printer's paper tray is empty. It is not. I did a Scan Doctore 5.2.1 diagnostic on my printer. It says if the issue persists the pickup rollers need to be cleaned. How do I do that?

easiest way to access the rollers is to remove the paper tray and all the toner cartridges. Then turn the printer on to one side so you can see into the cavity where the paper tray sits. Move the duplex tray to the lowered position, green button at front of paper tray cavity is pushed and then slide the tray forward. You will see the rollers at the back if the cavity. They are grey, and should have ridges on them. Clean them with a lint free cloth dampened with water. If too badly worn they may need replacement.
