How do I turn OFF the Network printing setting.  I want to go to WIRED.

HP Smart set up my printer, and set it to Network ON.

Can you clarify, are you disconnecting from wireless and attaching via wired network or USB?

Hooking up USB cable.

since installing the Network feature, the printer often comes up with "found no pages to print"  ...  I imagine it momentarily lost the network connection.  I close the document, the re-open it, and the Print -- just fine! It's tedious to keep "losing" the document, especially when I'm printing a 50-page document ...

Also, it seems a little slower to send document over network, USB should be faster -- I think ???

That issue is often caused by the way the printer driver is configured. The typical default config is for the driver to use a WSD port which are very problematic and often lose communication with the printer and fail to reconnect. Best configuration option for port is to configure printer driver to use a Standard TCP/IP port and then manually set that printer as the default printer which will disable Windows Printer Management and usually resolve all these issues.

Thank you SO much for answering my questions.  but I am unsure where to find the printer driver so that I can set it to the Standard TCP/IP setting.  Do I start with Control Panel, then go to Printer -- then Properties??  I've searched around, and wasn't able to find where to change the setting.
