Don't worry i'll help you and give you some pictures to help you to go thriugh all of it.
What i post are all from HP 4V but it's all the same as your 4M+.
With RJ45 network cable plugged in.
Press left/upmost Ready/On Line button the LED will show 00 READY(Light on)/00 OFFLINE(Light off).
Step by Step......
Ready -> (OFFLINE) MENU(many times until MIO MENU shows up) ->(CFG NETWORK=NO*) + (CFG NETWORK=YES*)->Enter->Item(many times until CFG TCP/IP=NO* shows up) -> + (CFG TCP/IP=YES+) -> Enter -> BOOTP=YES* -> + (BOOTP=NO*) -> Enter -> Item -> IP Byte 1=192 (press + key until the number is you want)(you can press (Shift)+(+) key it minus the number once a time) then press Enter -> Item -> IP Byte 2=168......+ key then Enter key to go through all four IP Add -> Item -> SM BYTE 1=255* (Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 ?) -> keyin all four sets of numbers (don't forget to press Enter) -> Item -> LG BYTE 1=0* (Large Byte 1 ~ 4 are useless here just press Item key to by pass all of them) -> Item -> GW BYTE 1=192* (GATEWAY BYTE) 1 ~ 4 ) ........
When all numbers keyin over -> Ready/On Line -> 00 READY
You have done all the IP Keyin & change you can print from Network from know.
Don't forget to add new printer with all these 4 IP ADD (192.168.0.44 ?) and try to print from Network.
All will be done.
If you miss keyin some where in the process you'll need to do it again all from the beginning.
Hope it helps and good luck!
